Last night's film was one of the most provocative we have seen thus far at Cinema Insieme. The characters were large than life caricatures representing Woman/Man, North/South, Rich/Poor. The violence and sexuality left clearly impacted the audience. There were many questions: Was there love between Raffaella & Gennarino? Is there hope for reconciliation between Northern & Southern Italy and can they peacefully co-exist? On the latter question, I believe the director was hinting at the possibility that this could happen. Much to think about!
